Property Maintenance

All HMO properties are inspected by Council staff as part of the licence renewal process. In most instances the inspectors will identify maintenance issues that require to be attended to before the property can be cleared for licence. Typically issues will include the adjustment of door closers, repairs to sash and case windows and renewal of bath and shower seals. These are all works which can be carried out by the HMO Scotland maintenance team. This means that the entire HMO licence renewal can be dealt with by HMO Scotland without the need to use outside contractors.

Our maintenance service is not limited to HMO works at licence renewal time. We are also available to carry out general maintenance at any time and this is a service we perform for many existing clients. If the property is well maintained all year round then not only does this help keep tenants happy but it should minimise the issues raised by the Council at their annual inspection.
